Appalachian Nocturne begins at dusk in the Great Smoky Mountains. Pepper and whiskey flare against cool night air before cedarwood and pine emerge at the heart. Incense, cocoa, and resins deepen the fragrance, leaving the impression of firelight fading on the ridge.

Great Smoky Mountains
Straddling the border of North Carolina and Tennessee, Great Smoky Mountains National Park is the most biodiverse region in the United States. Named for the bluish haze that settles over its ridges, the Smokies derive their mist from the respiration of millions of trees — releasing fine droplets of vapor that blur mountain and sky. The range itself is among the oldest on Earth, over 200 million years in the making.
At dusk, the forest transforms: wood smoke mingles with the scent of pine and damp leaves, fireflies flicker through the understory, and the air cools with an almost tactile stillness. The Smokies embody the deep, resonant quiet of the Appalachian landscape — a timeless interplay of mountain, mist, and memory.

Ashley Santiago
Raised in San Francisco, Ashley draws from a lifelong connection to Northern California. Trained at ISIPCA in Paris and Givaudan's Perfumery School, she composes fragrances that translate place into scent with clarity and intention.
