A fragrance that reveres the rugged coastline of Northern California, Lost Coast captures the untamed spirit where land meets ocean: the end of everywhere and the edge of nowhere. Bright orange and cedrat open with a burst, their citrus effervescence creating an immediate sense of clarity and resolve.
At the heart, green fig leaf recalls the vegetation clinging to windswept cliffs, while a driftwood accord adds a sun-warmed, amber-like depth. This interplay mirrors the constant exchange between sea air and land.
The drydown blends creamy sandalwood and earthy vetiver with the aquatic lift of California papyrus, evoking the cool marine layer rolling inland. An homage to America’s most pristine and untamed coast.

The Lost Coast is the most remote stretch of the California coastline — named for the roads that couldn’t follow it. Here the King Range drops two thousand feet directly into the Pacific, and the land holds a quality of wildness that has been mostly undisturbed for centuries.
What registers first is the air: saline and cold, threaded with coastal scrub and the particular mineral quality of fog that has come a long way over open water. This is the landscape Lost Coast is made from — not as metaphor, but as material.

A San Francisco native, Ashley draws from a lifelong connection to the landscapes that define Neue Terra. Trained at ISIPCA in Paris and at Givaudan's Perfumery School, she composes fragrances that translate place into scent with clarity and intention.
